History
United Prairie, LLC, began in 1996 when Grand Prairie Cooperative and Unity Grain in Atwood decided to combine their fertilizer and chemical divisions and resources in order to better serve area growers, and realize economies of scale. In 1998, Unity merged with Bement Grain and Cisco Cooperative to form Topflight Grain Co-op which added to the facilities and customer base of United Prairie. In late 2000, Monticello Grain Company was acquired by Topflight, also adding their fertilizer and chemical resources to United Prairie.
