The United Prairie Pierson facility is located in Pierson, Illinois. Pierson is a small community located just off US Route 36 between Atwood and Hammond, Illinois. The facility is actually on property that is shared with the Topflight Grain COOP, which is one of our parent companies. You will find the facility in the center of town on Piatt County Road 1150 East, which becomes Main Street as you enter Pierson.

At the Pierson facility there is a full service chemical bay, a small fertilizer storage/blending facility, the United Prairie Pioneer Seed warehouse, and anhydrous ammonia storage with risers. At the Pierson facility there is a full service chemical bay along with a small fertilizer storage/blending building.  The office building shares space with the Monsanto seed warehouse.  In the spring of 2006 we built another warehouse building which is the new home to our 40 X 72 sq. ft. shop with the other end being Pioneer Seed storage.  The Pierson facility aslo has the convenience of receiving and unloading anhydrous ammonia by rail car.

The Pierson facility also operates two anhydrous ammonia satellite locations. One of these facilities is named Burrowsville, which is West of Hammond, Illinois, just off of US Route 36. You can find our Burrowsville location by turning North off of US Route 36 onto Piatt County Road 600 East. The location is then a 1/2 mile up the road.

The other location is in Atwood, Illinois on property that is shared with the Topflight Grain COOP. After you enter the town of Atwood, find Main Street, and then proceed to the Central Street and turn to go East. This will take you directly to our Atwood location.

Our Pierson facility has a hard working staff that enjoys servicing areas growers. Ben Rawlins serves as the Plant Manager at the Pierson facility. Pierson has one Certified Crop Advisor/Sales Agronomist, Rob Litwiller.  They also have two well trained Custom Applicators, Jery Drake who has over 30 years of experience and Jeff Morris who has been with United Prairie for over 11 years.  A new addition to Pierson is Ralna Stoerger.  She will be managing all of the billing for Pierson along with helping to cover the daily duties in the grain office.  She will be working on inventory control and software management.  Finally, the last person on staff is Bill Sparks who is our Pioneer Seed Sales Specialist at the location.
