United Prairie, LLC - Ivesdale, Illinois

The United Prairie Ivesdale facility is located in Ivesdale, IL. This facility is on the South side of Champaign County Highway 17, which becomes Johnson Street when you enter the town. The Ivesdale location actually shares office space and property with Grand Prairie COOP Inc., one of United Prairie's parent companies.

At Ivesdale there are two full service chemical bays, the United Prairie seed warehouse, a small fertilizer storage/blending facility, and anhydrous ammonia storage tanks with risers.

The Ivesdale facility also has an experienced staff that is ready to serve area growers in any way they can. Ben Rawlins serves double duty as the location manager at Ivesdale and Hammond. Our sales team consists of Joe Haugen and Matt Warnes. Joe is a Certified Crop Advisor/Sales Agronomist and has over 20 years of experience in agriculture. Andy King comes to United Prairie from the grain side of the business.  His background in loading and blending unit grain trains will fit perfectly in his role mixing chemicals at Ivesdale.  Andy will also be assisting and learning how to run application equipment as well. Our head operator at Ivesdale is Mike Lietz. Mike has been with our company for approximately 30 years and knows the Ivesdale area like the back of his hand. Chuck Zech is our second operator at Ivesdale. Chuck helps out not only with custom application but with anhydrous ammonia, truck driving along with numerous other jobs. Jeanne Strack is a key team member at the Ivesdale location, taking care of all of the billing along with answering the phones and working the scale.  She also assists with grain settlements for Grain Prairie Coop.

At Ivesdale, we have over 12,000 sq. ft. of seed storage that houses several brands of seed that United Prairie sells. At our seed warehouse, you will find seed specialist, Todd Shunk. Todd has over 20 years experience in seed sales and has worked for reputable seed companies. You will also find Matt Stoerger, a Seed Salesman who assists Todd in all of the distribution and internal reporting of the seed division. Matt has several years of experience as a local seed dealer.
